The Expert Symposia events allow experienced practitioners to discuss specially selected cases in a supportive atmosphere under the guidance of an expert orthopaedic surgeon who is also trained in running small group discussions. 80 percent of these courses consist of interactions between the experts and the participants the remaining 20 per cent consisting of “state of the art ” lectures on controversial topics.
The Surgical Approaches Courses are also highly interactive with 87 per cent of the course devoted to participants carrying out surgical approaches under the supervision of an expert. The courses are based on the book Surgical Exposures in Othopaedics- The Anatomic Approach which has been the best selling book in it’s field for the last 34 years. Having completed the Surgical Approach participants are asked to extend their dissections to expose those structures which are normally not seen during surgery.
